7TH GRADE GRAVITY CAR CONTEST
Results of the gravity car contest for this semester are:
First Place: Mitch Monini 85'1"
Second Place: Austin Kownack 70'4"
Third Place: Morgan Papa 69'8"
Congratulations go out to all of the 7th grade students who participated in this contest and had a vehicle to run. The top 3 finishers will receive a certificate of award from the principal and Mitch will receive a check for $10 donated by the student council. Way to go Mitch!!
7TH GRADE BRIDGEBUILDING CONTEST
The bridgebuilding contest results are also in. A new milestone was reached by Drake Sichak and Ben Zaloga, who constructed a bridge that held a record 116.3 pounds for Mr. Toma's technology classes. Well done Drake and Ben!! The results for the contest this semester are:
First Place: Drake Sichak and Ben Zaloga - 5.80 lbs. / gram
Second Place: Allyssa Carroll and Elizabeth Johnson - 5.12 lbs. / gram
Third Place: Morgan Umholtz and Kara Curtin - 5.07 lbs. / gram
Congratulations again to all of the 7th grade students who participated in this contest! The winners will receive 1st place medals and the top 3 finishers will receive certificates of award from Mr. Kondratowicz and Mr. Toma.
8TH GRADE CO2 CAR CONTEST
In the 8th grade CO2 car contest, Isaac Strong won the 1st place prize with a very fast speed of 40.7 mph. Great job Isaac! Laura Earls
and Dom Pavoldi tied for second with a speed of 37.5 mph, but Laura won the second place finish in a run-off by 4 one-hundreths of a second! Isaac will receive a check for $10.00 donated by the student council, and a trophy. The top 3 finishers will receive certificates of award from Mr. Kondratowicz as well. Good job by all of the students who participated in this popular activity.
