Welcome to 4th Grade
The Math curriculum is aligned to New York State and national standards. The focus at the 4th grade level is to develop the five strands while developing problem solving and reasoning abilities, in addition to computation abilities. Topics covered:
Students will write in math explaining their mathematical thinking and clarifying their responses. Students
will be encouraged to focus their thinking/writing on specific mathematical concepts.
These strands are:
